These work great for clipping My Toy Poodle once he is absolutely TANGLE FREE!.They gave an even cut for me as an inexperienced groomer, once I got out ever single tiny tangle. Use a scissors, or matt rake first, comb out well, then these work quickly and well. They did cut through a few very small tangles on my small straight haired dog, but would get caught up if the tangles had any size to them.
