I have a miniture Schnauzer who has very thick curly hair. The clippers would not cut at all with the guards on. When I took the guard off, I was able to clip some of his hair. The blade went totally dull half way through and I was forced to go out and buy a whole new set of clippers so that I could finish. Very disapointed (and annoyed). I know that Andis is a good brand of clippers, but this model is not up to par.
