I use this dust house for my chinchillas. They do not chew it, however, if you buy this product please, please watch your chinchillas and see if they chew it. Plastic is very harmful for their insides and will really make them sick. Supervision is key when you introduce this product. I noticed it had some nice hooks on the back to mount it high in the cage, however, after a few weeks, one of the hooks broke off.
