I bought a cheap clipper for $35 and that was a big mistake, didn't cut at all. I picked these up $109 and they are perfect. Doesn't make too much noise, the one speed runs fast enough to cut thru my Shih Tzu's hair without being too quick that I make mistakes. Easy to clean and very sturdy. It took me about 30 minutes to give my dog a full haircut, but I expect that time will shorten once I learn more. Saves me $100 at the groomers (Manhattan prices). Pays for itself in one trip. I bought the number 4 blade and some lubricant to maintain the blades. The blades do get hot so I did need to stop a few times, but no big deal.
