We first bought this shampoo from our vet for our Yorkie/Poodle (age 1) who has a severe allery to fleas. She was a mess when we took her to our vet. Her ears were so bad, they were black and the vet thought she may actually loose them. In a desperate attempt to save her we tried the shampoo. We had already tried antibiotics and steriods, but they were not working for her. We shampooed her every other day until we saw improvement, and then every 3 days for two weeks, then every 4 days and so on until she was healed. We left the shampoo on for ten minutes before rinsing. We couldn't believe the results. She is now 7 years old and you would never know that she had these problems. When she has a flare up, we just shampoo her like we did before, but just for 2 weeks. It really does work great and I highly recommend it. As a matter of fact we are starting to use it on our West Highland White Terrier.
