I was told by the breeder to use this product on my Maine Coon cat prior to shampooing her and it worked GREAT!! Maine Coons have naturally oily skin/hair which was new to me. I've had a male Persian for 15+ years and his hair is like a cotton ball all the time--dirty or clean. So I had never had to deal with an oily haired pet but her hair was so soft and beautiful after we finished. I was very pleased! Just smear a bunch on and work it in about 10-15 minutes before shampooing (also used the Groomer's Goop Shampoo) and then shampoo out.
