Master Grooming Tools Pet Nail Grinder Kit Best Quality

After using a battery-driven nail grinder that delivered a disappointingly weak grind on my boxer's thick and long nails, I bought an wall-socket plug in grinder hoping for more power and increased efficiency to do the job. The Master Grooming Nail Grinder performed better, but still took about a minute on each nail, and would slow or stop with out adding much pressure. I expected a stronger and faster grind that it delivered. This grinder would perform well with dogs that have smaller and shorter nails that a typical boxer or large dog.Get more detail about Master Grooming Tools Pet Nail Grinder Kit.

Discount Oster Lucky Dog Medium Duty Animal Clipper

I have had one of these Oster Trimmers for years and all they are good for is fine touch up trimming. If you try to shave your animal with these, all you will do is agitate the animal and everybody gets upset. Save your pennies and buy a 2 Speed Oster Clipper with a Complete Comb Set. You will be happier. Never go Cheap, First Class only costs a little more.Get more detail about Oster Lucky Dog Medium Duty Animal Clipper.

Buy Synergy Puppy 17-2/7-Ounce Fresh Shampoo

This product smells good and gets our puppy clean without burning her eyes, though we have been careful to avoid the eye area anyway. The product is a little thicker than human shampoo but it lathers up and works the same.. and it leaves our puppy smelling clean- not a strong or overpowering baby powder scent, but just enough to make her smell clean. The clean smell lasts about 5 days.Get more detail about Synergy Puppy 17-2/7-Ounce Fresh Shampoo.

Millers Forge Pet Grooming Scissors Curved Immediately

I have a Millers Forge nail clipper that I really like, but these scissors feel cheaply made. The scissoring action isn't smooth; it gets kind of caught mid-snip. Winds up pulling the hair as I'm clipping the hair between the pads of my dog's feet and it freaks him out. Still looking for a good pair of scissors for that purpose.Get more detail about Millers Forge Pet Grooming Scissors Curved.

Chris Christensen - WHITE ON WHITE Shampoo Best Quality

This shampoo is fantastic and gives you a brighter than bright white coat. Must stay on dog for 10 minutes before rinsing off, but dogs don't seem to mind the wait. Used it on all 3 of my Westies and could not believe the brilliance. Would highly suggest trying it.Get more detail about Chris Christensen - WHITE ON WHITE Shampoo.

Nova Pearls Power Moist Spray Mist - 12 oz Order Now

Love this product!! Had a client come in with a Pomeranian who was chewing it's back and legs till he would be hairless. Bathed him in the Noval Pearls shampoo and dryed him, then sprayed him down with the NP Moisture Spray. Two weeks later they came to me and asked what I had applied to him, cause he hadn't chewed himself until then. Excellent product!! I was most upset to find my regular company had discontinued it and I'm thrilled to find it here at Amazon.Get more detail about Nova Pearls Power Moist Spray Mist - 12 oz.

Cheap Everholder FURemover Broom and Brush Combo

We had hope, but were pretty disappointed. We have 3 cats and hair everywhere. These are worthless for removing hair from just about everywhere, so we're still using our tried and true methods:
Sticky rolls for clothes
Red pet mitt for clothes and quick couches
Special vacuum attachment with the same material as the mitt for major cleaning of couches.
Dust mop for the hardwood floorsGet more detail about Everholder FURemover Broom and Brush Combo.

Lambert Kay Fresh N Clean Creme Rinse 18Oz Immediately

This is the best rinse for dogs that we have ever found. I use it on my Mini Schnauzer and he smells so sweet--and I recommended it to my daughter who has a very SMELLY Black Lab....and she loves it too! Her house used to smell like dog as soon as you came through the door--even though she keeps it so clean--because her dog smelled--there is no doggy smell in my house now! Try it! for 5 bucks it's worth the chance believe me.Get more detail about Lambert Kay Fresh N Clean Creme Rinse 18Oz.

Shop For Andis 20910 7-Piece Pro Animal Clipper Kit

Animals vary greatly in temperment so if you can borrow a friends clipper to try on your animal first I recommend it before making the investment. We have two cats so this clipper more or less paid for itself the first year in use.

We tried my sister's animal clipper the first year. The second year we tried two from Target and one from Petsmart. Finally bit the bullet and got this one from Petsmart. Pricier than the first we bought from them but worth it. (They were kind enough to let us return the first one)

In hindsight, if we had the option of buying the clipper only we would have as we don't need all the combs, and if you don't need the extras you can get the clipper by itself for a lot less. The black plastic molded case ours came with is very convenient, however.

Be careful when buying this clipper - the actual model of the clipper is MBG2 and it comes with a #10 blade. THERE ARE TWO ANDIS "PET PRO" CLIPPERS and the other one (The body is shorter, without the swoopy curve on the handle) doesn't get very good reviews.

Himalayan cats are like Persians and have massive amounts of extremely fine hair. The other clippers we tried bogged down immediately and got very hot. This blazes through and is also quieter and cooler than the other ones which is good since our Siamese is jumpy.

In terms of cat-trimming technique, we first trim all the nails (just in case) then sit on a chair on our deck, with a towel in our lap.

Cat in lap on towel, pet for a few minutes until they purr, then start clipping. It helps to keep some tension on their skin with the other hand. Imagine you are petting with your left hand to your left, and the clipper is in your right hand moving to your right.

My ratings: 1 star: Avoid! / 2 stars: Some merit but I can't recommend / 3 stars: Decent, nice / 4 stars: Recommended / 5 stars: Nearly perfect!

Cheapest FURminator deShedding Tool with FURejector

I would recommend this item. But my cats won't sit long enough to let me use it properly. One caution - be sure not to stroke too many times in the same spot. It really thins out the hair so if you can't get to the entire section of the back for example, the one spot you kept stroking will look funny. The FURrejector part of it is quite nice. I wish it were longer/larger tho cause after one or two strokes, it fills up quick with fur and you need to release it. But all in all, a nice tool.Get more detail about FURminator deShedding Tool with FURejector.
